Drop-Off & Pick-Up Hours
Monday - Friday Only
Drop-Off: 6:30am - 9:30am
Pick-Up: 2:00pm - 6:00pm
Late Pick-Up Policy
If your dog is picked up after 6:00 pm, a $7 late fee will be added for every 30 minutes. If not picked up by 7:00 pm, we’ll board your pet for the night, and you’ll pay a boarding fee in addition to the late fees. We get it—life happens– but these policies help us plan staffing and ensure every pup gets proper care.
No Open-Door Policy
Due to insurance and licensing requirements, we’re unable to accommodate drop-in visits or in-person facility tours. These policies help us remain fully compliant and focused on providing consistent, high-quality care. We do offer a virtual tour so you can see exactly where your pup will play and stay.
Requirements
- 10+ weeks old with second round of shots
- Spayed/neutered (medical exemptions considered)
- Proof of up-to-date rabies, bordetella, and distemper/parvo
- 24-hour advance booking
Collar Policy
We remove collars during daycare for your dog’s safety. Collars can be a choking hazard even in the most supervised playgroup. A simple wrestling match or rolling around on the ground can cause issues. We take them off to prevent incidents that might otherwise occur.
Severe Weather Exception: It’s best practice to keep identification on your pet at all times during severe weather. In the event we receive a “severe thunderstorm watch,” collars will be placed back on the dogs for precautionary purposes. Magnolia Dog Ranch does have emergency collars with our phone number on them in case your dog didn’t come to daycare with a collar.
First Day Evaluation
Before joining our daycare crew, every pup needs an evaluation day. This helps us make sure daycare is a good fit and figure out which play group they’ll love most. Not every dog loves daycare, and that’s okay. We’re firm believers that there are no “bad” dogs, but some just don’t enjoy the daycare environment.
Getting Started + Scheduling
We keep a low dog-to-supervisor ratio to keep your pups as safe as possible. Please schedule through our office staff so we can ensure proper staffing and a calm introduction for your pup. This gives new pups the time and attention they deserve.
Drop-Off + Pick-Up for Evaluations
Earlier drop-off and later pick-up work best for evaluations. This gives us enough time to introduce your pup to playgroups, build a relationship, and see where they fit – even with nap time mid-day.
How We Introduce New Pups
We take it slow and steady:
- Alone time first: We give them 15-30 minutes to sniff around a play yard on their own and get comfortable with the new smells, sounds, and sights.
- Hand-selected introductions: We’ll ask about your pup’s energy level and play preferences, then bring in compatible dogs one by one for proper greetings.
- Claire-Care for timid pups: Some dogs need extra comfort, so we offer one-on-one time with a staff member (lovingly called “Claire-Care”). This might be toys, treats, playing chase, or just sitting together until they feel at ease.
The Results
Evaluations come with no guarantees. We’ll assess your pup as deeply as possible and be honest about how they’re feeling. Your pet’s comfort and happiness will always come first at MDR, even if that means daycare isn’t the right fit for them. The evaluation fee is non-refundable.
